This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of Ploti's Service, including AI, geospatial, public-record, browser-agent, and data-processing features. It is incorporated into the Ploti Terms of Service or other agreement governing your use of the Service (the "Agreement"). Customer is responsible for its Users' compliance with this AUP.

  6. Browser and data agents
  7. Sensitive and regulated data

1. Compliance with law

You must use the Service in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licenses, professional obligations, and binding contractual restrictions, including privacy, intellectual property, export-control, sanctions, consumer-protection, anti-discrimination, telemarketing, and anti-spam laws.

You are responsible for determining whether information and outputs obtained through the Service may lawfully be collected, combined, exported, contacted, published, or used for your intended purpose.

2. General acceptable use

You must not use or permit others to use the Service to:

  • Violate another person's privacy, publicity, intellectual property, contractual, or other legal rights;
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, defame, exploit, or discriminate against an individual or group;
  • Publish or disclose personal information without authority, engage in unlawful surveillance, or facilitate identity theft, fraud, or physical harm;
  • Create, upload, or distribute malware, malicious code, phishing, spam, fraudulent communications, child sexual abuse material, or content that unlawfully incites violence;
  • Impersonate a person or organization, misrepresent your affiliation or authority, or create deceptive reviews, endorsements, records, or evidence;
  • Probe or test vulnerabilities without written authorization, bypass authentication or security controls, disrupt the Service, or access another customer's account or data;
  • Reverse engineer the Service, access non-public APIs, scrape the Service outside published interfaces, or systematically extract Ploti's software, prompts, proprietary organization, or protected content;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to unauthorized third parties except as expressly permitted by the Agreement.

3. AI-specific requirements

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, verifying material facts with authoritative sources, and determining whether an output is appropriate for your use.

You must not:

  • Present AI output as the work of a specific person or in a manner designed to deceive someone about whether AI was used;
  • Use AI features to impersonate a real person or organization without authorization, create deceptive synthetic media, or disseminate deliberate disinformation;
  • Circumvent AI safety controls through prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial inputs, or similar techniques;
  • Use inputs or outputs to train, fine-tune, distill, reverse engineer, or extract weights from a model that competes with Ploti or an underlying model provider;
  • Operate Ploti's AI features as an unauthorized proxy, gateway, or resale service for third parties.

Your use of AI features must also comply with applicable restrictions imposed by the AI providers identified on the Subprocessors page. Where requirements conflict, the more protective or restrictive requirement applies.

4. High-risk uses

You may use Ploti for planning, zoning, permitting, environmental, engineering, financial, legal, or other professional research only when a qualified human reviews and approves the relevant output before it is relied upon for a material decision, recommendation, filing, or public communication. Ploti does not replace a licensed professional, survey, title report, appraisal, environmental assessment, or authoritative government determination.

If AI-generated analysis is presented to or materially relied upon by a client, consumer, regulator, or member of the public, you must clearly disclose that AI was used where appropriate or required by law.

Unless Ploti expressly approves the use in writing, you must not use the Service to make or recommend an automated or substantially automated decision about an individual's:

  • Housing eligibility, tenancy, or access to housing;
  • Credit, lending, investment, or financial eligibility;
  • Employment, hiring, discipline, or termination;
  • Insurance eligibility, pricing, claims, or coverage;
  • Education admission, government benefits, healthcare, criminal justice, immigration, or another similarly significant opportunity or service.

You must not use the Service for social scoring, unlawful profiling, predictive policing based on personal traits, exploitative manipulation, or inference of highly sensitive traits in violation of law.

5. Geospatial and public-record data

You may use property-owner, parcel, address, permit, zoning, demographic, environmental, infrastructure, and other public or licensed data for legitimate site selection, acquisition, due diligence, planning, development, and lawful business outreach.

You must comply with applicable privacy, consumer-reporting, fair-housing, anti-discrimination, telemarketing, anti-spam, public-record, and source-license requirements. Availability through Ploti does not mean information may be used for every purpose.

You must not use geospatial or public-record data to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully surveil a person;
  • Target or exclude individuals or communities unlawfully on the basis of a protected characteristic;
  • Publish sensitive personal information or precise location information without authorization;
  • Create a consumer report or make a regulated eligibility decision unless you independently satisfy all applicable legal requirements and Ploti has approved the use in writing;
  • Misrepresent the accuracy, completeness, currency, or official status of a record or analysis.

6. Browser and data agents

Ploti agents may access publicly available sources and accounts, systems, or data that you are authorized to access. You are responsible for confirming that an agent's requested task and access comply with law, applicable contracts, and source terms.

You must not direct or permit an agent to:

  • Access an account, system, or dataset without authorization;
  • Bypass authentication, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, access controls, robots exclusions, rate limits, or technical restrictions;
  • Evade a source's suspension, block, or express denial of access;
  • Collect more personal data than reasonably necessary for the approved business purpose;
  • Take an external action—such as submitting a filing, purchasing property or services, sending bulk outreach, or accepting legal terms—without appropriate authorization and human oversight.

Ploti may enforce technical limits, rotate or disable agent capabilities, and restrict sources when necessary for safety, legal compliance, provider requirements, or service reliability.

7. Sensitive and regulated data

Unless Ploti expressly agrees in writing that the Service may process a category of regulated data, you must not submit:

  • Social Security numbers or government identity numbers;
  • Complete payment-card data or authentication data regulated by payment-card standards;
  • Protected health information governed by HIPAA or similar law;
  • Nonpublic personal financial information governed by GLBA;
  • Biometric identifiers, genetic information, or precise movement histories regulated by law;
  • Personal data concerning children or minors subject to specialized protections;
  • Classified, controlled-unclassified, export-controlled, or similarly restricted government information.

8. Platform and credit abuse

You must not:

  • Create or operate accounts or workspaces to obtain duplicate trials, promotional credits, or usage allowances;
  • Circumvent usage, compute, export, API, model, or rate limits;
  • Evade a suspension, restriction, or termination through another account, identity, workspace, or integration;
  • Conceal usage, manipulate metering, or interfere with billing or abuse-prevention systems.

9. Reporting violations

To report a suspected violation, illegal content, unsafe agent behavior, or unauthorized account use, email support@ploti.ai with a description and any information reasonably needed to investigate.

10. Enforcement

Ploti may investigate suspected violations and may throttle, rate-limit, block inputs or outputs, remove or restrict content, disable an integration or agent, revoke improperly obtained credits, suspend access, or terminate an account or workspace.

Ploti may act immediately when activity appears illegal, dangerous, fraudulent, or likely to threaten people, data, systems, or the Service. For less urgent violations, Ploti may provide notice and an opportunity to cure when practical.

Ploti may preserve relevant evidence and report activity to law enforcement, regulators, affected providers, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights or safety. Ploti is not required to monitor all use or take action in every case, and a decision not to act does not waive future enforcement.

11. Updates and relationship to Terms

This AUP supplements the Agreement. The Agreement controls a conflict concerning commercial or general legal terms, while the additional use restrictions and safety requirements in this AUP apply to the Service.

Ploti may update this AUP by posting a revised version and changing the effective date. Updates may take effect when posted when reasonably necessary for law, security, abuse prevention, safety, or compliance with a third-party provider's requirements. Other material changes affecting current paid customers will be handled under the change provisions of the Agreement.
