Documents and Files
Documents appear in two parts of the Ploti research workflow: as source material you provide and as deliverables Ploti creates.
Attach Source Material
During a new research request, you can attach relevant files before the data-readiness check. Good inputs include:
- Offering memoranda and property schedules
- Municipal plans, ordinances, and staff reports
- Surveys, site plans, and environmental reports
- Spreadsheets of candidate properties or business criteria
- Internal memos and prior diligence
Tell Ploti what each document is and how it should influence the work. If a source is authoritative or only background context, say so explicitly.
Review Generated Documents
A completed research run can include a document artifact such as a narrative brief, findings memo, or sourced analysis. Open the artifact from the research request to read it alongside the other outputs.
Generated documents may reference related maps, tables, filters, or files. Treat those artifacts as a connected research package rather than isolated exports.
Keep the Source Trail Clear
For decision-critical work:
- Prefer primary government and recorded sources
- Keep dates and jurisdictions visible
- Distinguish sourced facts from assumptions or calculations
- Note unresolved questions and missing data
- Verify conclusions against the linked source material
If a generated document is missing context, ask a follow-up from the research
request so the next answer stays connected to the original brief and
artifacts.
